Abstract:

This data set consists of the hydrographic parameters measured at the LA DNR 559 discrete hydrographic stations located throughout coastal Louisiana. The hydrographic parameters include temperature (bottom and surface), specific conductance (bottom and surface), salinity (bottom and surface), velocity (bottom and surface), dissolved oxygen (bottom and surface), pH (bottom and surface), fecal coliform, upper and lower soil porewater salinity, and water transparency. Not all monitoring stations measure all these parameters.

To provide monthly hydrographic information for coastal Louisiana

A hand-held water quality instrument is used that is capable of measuring water temperature, specific conductance, and salinity. Measurements are taken on the surface and at the bottom. A secchi is used to measure the station's water transparency. Data are accessible with the assistance of CVS, Concurrent Version System.
