<descript>
The natural resource management staff at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge determined a need for an updated plant survey on the refuge including the main island (St. Vincent Island) and the Pig Island unit (located in St. Joe Bay). This data set consist of a list of 596 species found on the two units. The list provides the common and scientific name, author citation, characteristics, flowering date, life history, life form, origin, wetland and Florida status, and species at risk/rank for each plant. The data were generated along with a vegetation map for the area.
<purpose>To inventory plant species on the refuge's units and update existing plant surveys.</purpose>
